Sherrill M 'Cookie' McLoda joined the Parsons Insurance Agency in January of 1964 as a CSR.  Cookie soon became a licensed property, casualty, life and health agent and took over as manager of the agency. She then became a stockholder along with Ernie Parsons and Bill McCray. She is now the majority stockholder with Bill McCray and Mike Lotko. Cookie, who lives in Amherst, is very active in the community  and civic affairs.  She serves as Chairman of the Lorain County Metro Parks Board of Directors, she is active in the Amherst Garden Club, National Association of Women in Construction, Historical Society and politics, serving as the Safety Service Director in Amherst for 8 years. She was inducted into the Gallery of Success of Amherst Schools in 1992 and  was named one of the top 20 businesswomen of NE Ohio in 1995. She has been an insurance instructor and  author of nationally published insurance articles.
